A Million Tears

A bouquet of beautiful memories,
Sprayed with a million tears,
Wishing God could have spared Dad,
If just for a few more years.

It does not take a special day,
For us to think of you,
Each Mass we hear, each prayer we say,
Is offered up to you Dad.

We cannot bring the old days back,
When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now,
But memories live forever.

It was a sudden parting,
Too bitter to forget,
Only those who loved you,
Are the ones who will never forget.

Father With A Heart Of Gold

We lost a Father with a heart of gold
How much we miss him can never be told,
He shared our troubles and helped us along
If we follow his footsteps,
We will never go wrong.

We miss you from your fireside chair
Your loving smile and gentle air,
Your vacant place no one can fill
We miss you Father and always will.

He was a Father so very rare
Content in his home and always there,
On earth she toiled, in heaven he rests
God bless you Father, you were the best.

Each time we look at your picture
You seem to smile and say,
Don’t be sad but courage take
And love each other for my own sake.

Dad's Gentle Face

Dad's gentle face and patient smile.
With sadness we recall,
You had a kindly word for each
And died beloved by all.

The voice is mute and stilled the heart
That loved us well and true,
Ah, bitter was the trial to part
From one so good as you.

You are not a forgotten loved one
Nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memory last
We will remember Dad.

We miss you Dad, our hearts are sore
As time goes by we miss you more,
Your loving smile, your gentle face

Dad's  Journey

Don’t think of Dad as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of Dad as resting
from the sorrow and the tears,
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

He Only Takes The Best

God saw Dad getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around him,
And whispered "Come to me".

With tearful eyes we watched,
And saw him pass away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.

Her golden heart stopped beating,
Hardworking hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best Dad's.

Tears For Dad

You can shed tears 
That Dadis gone,
Or you can smile 
Because he has lived.

And pray that Dad will come back,
Or you can open your eyes 
And see he has left.

Your heart can be empty
Because you can’t see him,
Or you can be full
Of the love you shared.

You can remember Dad
And only that he’s gone,
Or you can cherish his memory

Father Toiled

Father toiled so hard for those he loved.
Said goodbye to none,
His spirit flew before we knew,
When his work on earth was done.

We miss Father now, our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss him more.
His loving smile and gentle face:
No one can fill your vacant place.

Your life was love and labour.
Your love for your family true.
You did the best for all of us.

Father Never Failed 

Father's heart was true and tender,
He worked and toiled
For those she loved,
And left them to remember.
We sat beside our Father's bedside

We did our duty to the end

In tears we watched you sinking

And though our hearts were breaking
We knew you could not stay.
You left behind some aching hearts

We Sat Beside Dad

We sat beside Dad's bedside
Our hearts were crushed and sore;
We did our duty to the end,
‘Til we could do no more.

In tears we watched Dad sinking,
We watched him fade away,

We knew you could not stay.

Dad left behind some aching hearts,
That loved you most sincere.

For many years the family chain
Was closely linked together,
But oh! that chain is broken now,
The main link gone forever.

One Father

You can only have one Father,
Patient, kind and true,
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.

When other friends forsake you,
To Father you will return,
For all his loving kindness,
He asks nothing in return.

As we look upon his picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.

Sweet Jesus take this message,
To our dear Father up above,
Tell him how we miss him,
And give himall our love.
